Extracurricular activities provide an excellent opportunity for non-formal learning. Groups can freely focus on topics that are of interest to the children and youngsters, or even on developing solutions to challenges that are relevant to their own everyday lives. StarT emphasizes the joy of learning together. Joy and positive emotions are an important part of extracurricular activities. Children’s and youngsters’ self-image and belief in themselves as learners is strengthened through positive learning experiences.
Could your extracurricular activity group carry out a project by making a fun video about the physics of a circus or by making your own telescope in order to be able to study the night sky?
Extracurricular activity groups apply for nomination with their projects directly with StarT through the StarT website. The StarT jury will select the projects that will make it into the finals.
